Match solid and outline shapes

The circle ● and ○, square ■ and □, and triangle ▲ and △ pairs provide filled and outline versions of familiar shapes. Unicode names often use “BLACK” for a filled glyph and “WHITE” for an unfilled glyph; the actual ink color comes from the text styling.

BLACK SQUARE ■ (U+25A0) is an intentional geometric character, not a missing-glyph placeholder. A font may show a box for an unsupported character, but copying that character does not turn it into U+25A0. Shape size, stroke and alignment depend on the font; preview symbols beside the surrounding letters to check their baseline and visual weight.
